Gerry Gould, a nondestructive inspection test evaluator at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE), conducts ultrasonic testing of a composite scarf repair made to a V-22 Osprey ramp by students in the Advanced Composite Repair Level II course at FRCE. Three artisans with Fleet Readiness Center Western Pacific’s Japanese industrial partner NIPPI Corporation completed the course March 11. The training provided by FRCE will help enable FRC WESTPAC and NIPPI Corporation to stand up a new V-22 Osprey planned maintenance interval line in Japan.
