Activity during first extravehicular activity (EVA) of STS-72 mission. Extravehicular mobility unit (EMU) suited Leroy Chiao (EV1) unstows the portable work platform (PWP) stanchion and passes it to EMU suited Dan Barry (EV2) (024-025) and then moves up to assist in assembling the PWP on the remote manipulator system (RMS) end effector (026-028). The new helmet lights are well documented in 026-028. Barry is photographed just outside the aft flight deck window and his face is clearly seen (032-037).
