The State of Rheinland-Pfalz Impfbus made a stop at Rhine Ordnance Barracks Dec. 10 to vaccinate local national and civilians employees. The bus’ stationing at the garrison was coordinated in conjunction with Daniel Nagel, garrison works council president, Helmut Haufe, general manager Theater Logistics Europe and Africa and the German Red Cross. The Impfbus gave employees a chance to receive their initial COVID vaccine or booster. Overall, 589 vaccines were given to employees from the garrison and 21st TSC with additional vaccines given to employees from Ramstein Air Base.
“I really appreciate the German Red Cross and the 21st TSC helping us with this second iteration of the corona vaccination,” said Nagel. “The garrison has a 96% vaccination rate including service members.”
