YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec 7, 2021) Rear Adm. Butch Dollaga, commander, Submarine Group 7 (CSG 7), commander, Task Force 74 (CTF 74) and commander, Task Force 54 (CTF 54), left, and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Vice Adm. Yoshitaka Ozama, Commander, Fleet Submarine Force, hold the signed Combined Submarine Warfare Tactical Talk (CSWTT) charter, December 7, 2021. Also in attendance were Rear Adm. Hitroyuki Habuchi, Commander, Oceanography ASW Support Center, and Rear Adm. Richard Seif, commander, Undersea Warfighting Development Center via teleconference. The meeting centered around areas of mutual interest in the undersea domain between the United States Navy and the JMSDF. At the end of the meeting, Vice Adm. Ozama (CFSF) and Rear Adm. Dollaga signed the CSWTT Charter, which is a nonbinding agreement between CTF 74, CFSF, and UWDC stating that biannual CSWTTs between the three parties are mutually desirable. The CSWTT Charter will be mailed to Rear Adm. Seif in Groton, Connecticut for the final signature. Uniform of JMSDF personnel altered for security purposes.
