Naval Medical Center Portsmouth’s (NMCP) Mammography clinic received reaccreditation, Nov. 17. The team leading the way to reaccreditation were, from left to right, Mammography Technologists: Schanell Teartt, Sandy Donofrio, Alicia Headley, Roslyn Young-Lead, Dinah Catlet; Cmdr. Jessica Miller, former Lead Interpreting Physician Mammography Department; and Shaunita Ratcliff-Durham, Supervisory Nurse Breast Healthcare. The Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requires all U.S. mammography facilities to be accredited. The American College of Radiology Mammography Accreditation Program provides peer review, constructive feedback on staff qualifications, equipment, quality control, quality assurance, image quality, and radiation dose.
