Lance Willoughby, 690th Intelligence Support Squadron Technical Director was selected as the Air Combat Command nominee for the General John P. Jumper Civilian category Nov. 2, 2021.
The General Jumper award recognizes individuals for sustained superior performance and outstanding contributions to the integration of Air Force or DoD warfighting and/or operations support capabilities that shorten the kill chain and/or enhance the decision cycle. There are three categories for this award: officer (O-1 – O-5), enlisted (E-1 – E-8), and civilian (GS-01-GS-14).
Willoughby, a retired U.S. Air Force Major and 17D Cyber Operator, has served 11 years enlisted, 11 years as an officer and 11 years as a civilian.
He attributes his award nomination to the dedication, individual strides and work the Squadron members have put forth to shape the Air Force Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS) mission.
