John Farley, director of Fire Test Operations at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) conducts a National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Research Foundation fluorine-free foam “Standard for Safety Foam Equipment and Liquid Concentrates” (UL-162) 50 ft2 fire test, which was one of the 165 fire test series conducted for the NFPA at the NRL Chesapeake Bay Detachment in Chesapeake Beach, Md., in June 2019. The fire testing was conducted in calendar year 2019 and the final report "Evaluation of the Fire Protection Effectiveness of Fluorine-Free Foams" was published in Jan. 2020.
