Let's give Staff Sgt. Yesenia Fewson from the 81st Medical Support Squadron a shout-out for being chosen as the Warrior of the Week during this week's staff meeting! Fewson has excelled in the newly established role of NCO in charge of Cybersecurity, managing three 81st Medical Group projects to include leading a cross-functional team of 30 personnel in executing a $4 million DHA software migration and network validation. A true innovator, she developed a data martrixing program for capturing completion of DoD annual training for the 1,600 users from the 81st MDG. Furthermore, Fewson provided technological support to the DoD’s sole genetics lab, conducting vulnerability scans and installing 60 manual patches to prevent delays in patient care and critical worldwide medical research. Finally, she was hand-selected to backfill as the information systems flight chief for four months, where she expertly led 45 personnel across nine departments and 8,000 technology assets despite a 45 percent manning deficit.
