Coast Guard cutters, helicopter crews aid U.S. Florida yacht Current Sea taking on water in the Mona Passage near Puerto Rico
Coast Guard Cutter Winslow Griesser renders assistance to the 95-foot motor yacht Current Sea Nov. 15, 2021, after the vessel sustained damage to its forward bow and started taking on water while transiting Mona Passage waters, approximately 26 nautical miles west of Rincon, Puerto Rico. Assisted were two men and a woman, U.S. Citizens, reportedly the Captain and crew of the Fort Lauderdale, Fla. homeported yacht. The vessel was safely escorted to the Mayaguez harbor in Puerto Rico.
