Jessica Tettelbach, protocol specialist with the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence Protocol Executive Services Office, stands for a photo at USAACE headquarters Nov. 2, 2021. She arrives at Fort Rucker from the Montana National Guard where she has served as a 15A Chinook helicopter pilot. When the gate guards say, ‘Welcome home,’ as she enters post, it resonates with Jessica: Fort Rucker is where she and her husband met, and where she trained as an aviator, so it feels like home to her. Jessica is happy for the opportunity for her first Department of the Army civilian job to be in a place where she has a good purpose and can take pride in her work. She believes her knowledge of the military structure, flags, uniforms and events has set a foundation and will come in handy in this busy environment.
