Kevin Baylor, then-chief, Fort Campbell Fire and Emergency Services, and Col. Perry C. Clark, then-Fort Campbell garrison commander, unveil the FCFES 9/11 monument during a dedication ceremony hosted May 24, 2012, outside Fire Station 1. The display includes an I-beam from the World Trade Center’s South Tower, and the 343 inscribed on the granite represents the number of firefighters who died Sept. 11, 2001.
