The U.S. Army Europe & Africa Band & Chorus continued their 2021 Stronger Together tour in Brasov, Romania where the team Barbarossa Winds, a woodwind quintet within the band, played in Peles Castle on Sept. 4, 2021. U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Brent Ramsey, a musician with the band, felt it was a great honor to play at the historic monument. “[We] chose repertoire that showcased American and German composers to pay tribute to the unique role and location of the USAREUR-AF Band and Chorus,” said Ramsey. “A highlight from the performance was the ability to speak with the appreciative audience and strengthen their relationship with the United States’ partners and Allies.” Hospitality is essential when working together with host nations and Allies, and the Romanians went above and beyond to provide the best environment for the musicians at the castle.
