An F-16 Fighting Falcon multirole fighter jet is captured during an aerial refueling operation, positioned directly beneath what appears to be a tanker aircraft's refueling boom. The aircraft is armed with multiple air-to-air missiles and an external fuel tank, flying above a cloud layer. A pilot is clearly visible in the cockpit wearing flight gear and helmet.

The 459th ARW will provide air-to-air refueling to multinational fighter aircraft in the Arctic, allowing fighters to focus on offensive and defensive scenarios in the air and on the ground in Sweden, Finland and Norway. Events such as ACE 21 provide vital opportunities for integrated, Total Force training with Reserve units and our partner nations’ militaries to ensure interoperability. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
