WIESBADEN, Germany – In honor of Army Heritage Month and the 77th anniversary of D-Day, USAG Wiesbaden, Army and Air Force Exchange Service and Veterans of Foreign War joined the U.S. Military Vehicle Club on June 6 to present a vintage military vehicle display.
Music from the 1940s filled the air as members of the community bustled through the Hainerberg Mall parking lot to view the vehicles. World War II reenactors shared the history and stories of each vehicle that has been in country since the war.
Joakim Steinweden, a member of the vehicle club and vice president of historical events for the local Association of the U.S. Army chapter said “If these vehicles could only tell the stories of what they have been through we would be amazed at all they would say.”
