A former United Airlines flight attendant, Johncour flew a regular route from Washington Dulles International Airport to San Francisco and narrowly missed being on the flight that crashed in Shanksville, Pa., on 9/11. Johncour joined the U.S. Air Force soon after 9/11, and now flies with the 34th Bomb Squadron as a B-1 weapon systems officer.
