    Federal Vaccine Response

U.S. Army Sgt. Ismael Medina, a Mineola, Texas native and a combat medic specialist with the 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade (2SFAB) stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, poses for a photo at the state-led, federally-supported Community Vaccination Center at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, May 10, 2021. Medina is part of a group of Soldiers assigned to the 2SFAB that are supporting the vaccination efforts in Milwaukee. Medina’s main responsibility is administering the COVID-19 vaccination to the public. This is Medinas first time being a part of a COVID-19 support mission. “It feels good to give back to the American people,” said Medina. “I just hope to get as many people vaccinated as possible.” U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
