After 24 years of service, Col. Lora Rainey retires from the Idaho Army National Guard April 17 as the organization's highest ranking female officer and its only female officer to have served as a state staff judge advocate. She follows in the footsteps of her father, who also served on Gowen Field as a colonel and commander in the Army Reserve.
