A U.S. Army paratrooper assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters Company adjusts a military vehicle antenna during a command post exercise (CPX) on Caserma Del Din in preparation for Exercise Swift Response / Defender Europe 21 on April, 13 2021. The CPX gave paratroopers the opportunity to further refine their tactics, techniques and procedures ensuring they stay agile, lethal and combat ready for any future operations.
The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army’s Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United European, Africa and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployable across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthened the alliance.
