"My dad served in the Marine Corps for 23 years and retired in 2016. I got to travel a lot by visiting him while he was a recruiter in Alaska and stationed in California. He traveled all over and even spent time in Japan as well. My dad is the reason I joined the Marine Corps. After I graduated [high school], I wasn't doing anything with my life, but the Marine Corps was an option I always knew I had. My dad guided me into the decision to join, and before I knew it, I was at boot camp.
I enjoy working at the MEF. I am learning more and more every day and growing as a Marine. As a data systems administrator, I maintain connectivity throughout the command element. So whenever anybody has a problem with their computer or port, I do my best to get it up and running again as soon as possible so these Marines can do their job."
