Firefighters assigned to the 596th Transportation Brigade, Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point, N.C., rescue a mock victim during a Point Defender 2012 exercise scenario Aug. 21. Point Defender is a Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command antiterrorism and force protection exercise held annually at MOTSU. As part of the exercise, personnel assigned to the 596th Trans. Bde. worked through dozens of scenarios designed to develop, refine and test the command’s antiterrorism response procedures.
