Coast Guard searching for overdue kayaker near Jamesport, N.Y

The Coast Guard and partner agencies are searching for an overdue kayaker in the vicinity of Flanders Bay and Great Peconic Bay, N.Y. Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound received a report at 4:15 p.m. from the Riverhead Police Department that Raistlin Ruther, 18, departed Jamesport, N.Y, at 8:00 a.m. Saturday in a blue kayak and has not returned.
