The obverse depicts a stylized overhead view of the Pentagon with a first class petty officer device at its center. Surrounding the Pentagon are the names of the immediate commands represented in the association separated by filigree. The reverse depicts the major D.C. monuments and Capitol building beneath the outline of the District of Columbia containing the district's flag. The words “Washington, D.C.” adorn the top border and is flanked by anchors while the bottom half of the coin reads “First Class Petty Officer Association.” The main color scheme for both sides is a navy blue background bordered by gold metal representing the Navy’s colors.
