Naval Base Ventura County Port Hueneme's Port Operations provides direct support to Commander THIRD FLEET and Naval Sea Systems Command's (NAVSEA) Naval Surface Warfare Center in conducting their mission-essential pre-deployment Combat System Assessment and Training. In addition, NBVC Port Hueneme provides direct support to 12 in-port tenant commands which include NAVSEA, Naval Research Laboratory, Naval Air Systems Command, and Surface Deployment Distribution Command. NBVC Port Operations works closely with its commercial counterparts, Oxnard Harbor District, in the day-to- day vessel movement operations within the Port Hueneme area of responsibility.
