FORT BENNING, Ga. – Students enrolled in the Armor Basic Officer Leader Course (ABOLC) check their location before proceeding across the terrain in an M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank during training here Sept. 22. The 95-day course trains Armor lieutenants to lead tank platoons. The course is one of many Fort Benning's U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence uses to train leaders and generate lethality for the Army's armored and cavalry scout forces. ABOLC is run by the 316th Cavalry Brigade, part of the MCoE's U.S. Army Armor School. The brigade explained its many training courses, including ABOLC, in an official video.
