Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Morgan Helms, a surgical technologist at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, adjusts the boot on a fracture table, while setting up for a staff training activity. Tables like this are used during surgical procedures for lower extremity fractures. Helms, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, feels the best part of her job is constantly learning new procedures that help patients. “I always wanted to pursue a career in medicine, to be able to help people.” The staff, who are also assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Jacksonville, continuously train to be ready to deploy and save lives. #FacesofNHJax
