An Oklahoma Army National Guard UH-60 “Black Hawk” helicopter and crew conduct water rescue training over the Oklahoma River in Oklahoma City on Thursday, April 5. Members of the Oklahoma City, Norman, Verdigris and Tulsa Fire Department rescue divers performed the roles of rescue swimmer and flood victim during the open water rescue exercise. The Fire Departments and Oklahoma Army National Guard Aviation are part of the Oklahoma Task Force One (OKTF-1). Class of 2021 Cadet Thomas Aldhizer has spent most of his tenure at West Point defining theories related to lessening the variability of swinging when a casualty is being hoisted up into a Medevac helicopter.
