YOKOSUKA, Japan (Nov. 02, 2020) - Culinary Specialist 1st Class Nathaniel C. Young, from Anchorage, Alaska, asks a question during a main-space fire drill training for repair locker 3 aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship, USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). By participating in main-space fire drills, Sailors improve their damage control knowledge and skills on fighting casualties within main engineering spaces, such as the engine room. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
