U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Andrew Pinto, an engineer with II Marine Expeditionary Force Support Battalion (MSB), II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, poses for a photo on Fort AP Hill, VA., October 28, 2020. "It's always the darkest before dawn." said Pinto, a Glendora, California native. According to his leadership, since arriving at AP HILL, Pinto oversaw and assisted in setting up the power grid for II MEF CAPESET, TAC and II MSB COC in 10 days with five Marines. That is over 660,000 watts of electrical equipment. Also provided over 1,284,000 BTUs of heat and A/C. As the NCOIC of the Engineer platoon at AP HILL, Pinto has been counted on many occasions and is very dependable and reliable when trouble shooting any issues that arise.
