201022-N-OW019-0015 ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 22, 2020) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Philomena Aguilar, from Sacramento, Calif., blows the boatswain’s pipe prior to passing a message over the guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton’s (CG 59) general announcing system in the Arabian Gulf, Oct. 22. Princeton is part of Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three critical chokepoints to the free flow of global commerce.
