“I am originally from Collinsville, Ill. I have been at Scott for a little over three years now.

I have been deployed for a little over 5 months. Initially our team was deployed to construct the remaining 17 Transport Isolation Systems (TIS) and about two-thirds of the way through the builds my team and I got tasked to go to Ramstein and support transporting patients with COVID-19. We are responsible for the upkeep, decon and repair of the TIS and the Negative Pressure Conex (NPC) while on the ground. While in the air, with the TIS or NPC, we monitor the system to ensure the safety of the front-end crew along with the medics that are taking a break outside of the system.

Apparently, my girlfriend has a crustacean connection at the aquarium. I was honored to see I got a shout out from Lord Stanley, but I was also very happy to see that my girlfriend, Katie, went way out of her way to let me know she is excited for me to come home.

I am looking forward to spending time with my family, going to the lake and playing hockey when I get back.

I started playing hockey because my dad played, and I wanted to be just like him when I was younger. I have been a Blues fan my whole life, and one of my favorite memories is going to a Blues game at the Checker Dome with my dad for the first time. Let’s Go Blues!
