Command Sgt. Maj. Andrew J. Lombardo, Command Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army Reserve, signs the U.S. Army Reserve Suicide Prevention Campaign 2020 Proclamation at the U.S. Army Reserve Command Headquarters, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Sept. 12, 2020.
The proclamation was signed to bring added attention to the complexity of suicide and emphasize the many resources and support available.
“This is ‘my squad’ means many things to many different people, but what it should mean is we take care of our own,” said Lombardo. “We need to rally around those team members who need help and get them the appropriate help they need.”
