200826-N-AZ280-001 ANGAUR, Palau (August 26, 2020) Engineering Aide 2nd Class Samson Jonathanjay, assigned to Civic Action Team (CAT) Palau, uses an auto level to determine the grade and slope of the airstrip on the island of Angaur, Palau. Seabees from CAT Palau worked with Marines from Task Force Koa Moana, U.S. Army Pacific, and the Air Force to remove vegetation and perform grading on the airstrip, lengthening the usable portion of the airstrip. The longer airstrip will provide Palau with a second airstrip for use in potential humanitarian assistance disaster relief operations.
