Vance Brahosky, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Port Hueneme Division's deputy technical director, takes the controls of a student-built robot at the Oct. 16, 2019 ceremony at Oxnard College celebrating receipt of grant funds from the Navy’s Office of Secretary of Defense. Much like this year’s recent disbursement, the grant money went to local students for participation in the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Robotics competitions.
