200818-N-HR150-1031 YOKOSUKA, Japan (August 18, 2020) - Chief Master-at-Arms Seth Larson, from Sparta, Michigan, demonstrates proper handling of the M9 service pistol during a shipboard reaction force, basic (SRF-B) course aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). SRF-B is a two week course that gives Sailors proper security knowledge and technique needed to defend the ship. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
