Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, chief of naval operations, Adm. Jonathan Greenert and Commander, Combined Task Force, Vice Adm. Gerald Beaman await transport to aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) for the Great Green Fleet Demonstration during Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC 2012) exercise. Twenty-two nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in the biennial Rim of the Pacific exercise from June 29 to Aug. 3, in and around the Hawaiian islands.
