Spc. Chynard McKay has been in the Guard just under four years and is a unit supply specialist with the 260th Military Intelligence Battalion. McKay says he joined the National Guard to make a difference. He is a resident of Broward County with family in East Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale. He has served the COVID-19 response since mid-March and has volunteered to stay on mission for the duration.
“Joining the Guard has made a difference not only in my life but for my community,” said McKay. “I feel good about what I am doing here and being a part of history.”
