Meet Jaby Sanders, one of the many military spouses creating masks for our service members, spouses and children!
“I started making the masks two and a half weeks ago whenever it started coming down and I had immune compromised people messaging me and nurses messaging me asking for masks so I started doing it then. I made some for my family just in case because my daughter and I are both compromised. I’ve made a little over 200. I’m in a Scott Air Force Base mask maker group and service members, their families and civilians that work on base basically anyone that orders gets one and we’re getting them done as soon as possible. We’ve had a lot of fabric donations especially for brown and black fabric for military members. We sew them out of any fabric we can find. Between 15 and 20 people are making the masks. We also have people cutting fabric for us and delivering masks to those people who cannot pick them up.”
