200415-N-HR150-1025 PHILIPPINE SEA (April 15, 2020) - LTJG Michael Camarse, from San Diego, California, the Damage Control Assistant aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship, USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), and Chief Navy Counselor Min Jun, from Davis, California, run a Flying Squad drill from damage control central aboard Blue Ridge. Flying Squad are the first responders to shipboard casualties such as fires, flooding and toxic gas. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
