Medical professionals mobilizing in Army Reserve Urban Augmentation Medical Task Forces participate in training virtually from Gillem Enclave, Forest Park, Ga., April 6. The Soldiers are part of the Department of Defense response to COVID-19. The "Care in a COVID Environment" class provided key information on the use of personal protective equipment, triage protocols, and special considerations for treatment of COVID-19 infected patients. Lt. Col. Joel Ake, a member of the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Training Command's, 7301st Medical Training Support Battalion, conducted the training remotely from his home in Huntington, Pa. to comply with current DOD force protection measures that prevent Soldiers from traveling. More than 1000 mobilizing Army Reserve Soldiers received training over a six day period through the virtual training system platform. (Courtesy Photo)
