U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Cypress (WLB-210) supports a NASA open water test for Orion return capsule in the Gulf of Mexico in December 2018. It was the first upright capsule test conducted by NASA since the 1960s. In addition to maintaining buoys an beacons, Cypress works with joint and interagency partners across the region.
