Augusta, Ga., native Staff Sgt. Gregory A. Seymour (right), a howitzer section chief for Battery B, 2nd Battalion, 17th Field Artillery, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, receives his second Purple Heart from his battalion commander, Lt. Col. Wayne C. Grieme, during a ceremony at Forward Operating Base Rustamiyah in eastern Baghdad, Oct. 5. Seymour received his second Purple Heart for injuries he received while leading a supply mission July 15. While he had the option to return to the United States following the incident, the 11-year Army veteran returned to Baghdad to be with his Soldiers. "I started the war with my Soldiers and I'm going to finish it," Seymour said.
