Fort Meade Army Wellness Center staff (from left to right) Michael Crossett, Shelby Beattie, Ursula Ulery, Andrea Navarro, and Fort Meade Medical Department Activity Commander Col. James D. Burk cut the ribbon to officially celebrate the opening of its new location during a ceremony held on Fort Meade, Jan. 31, 2020. The center has relocated twice in a six-week timeframe in order to meet the space and service needs of its clients. The new location allows an expansion of services and capabilities to Service Members, Retirees, Family Members, and DOD Civilians with a focus on performance improvement and injury prevention. Since its launch in 2013, Fort Meade’s AWC has helped approximately 7,000 Service Members and more than 3,000 Family Members and DOD Civilians. (U.S. Army photo by Michelle Gonzalez)
