Maj. (Coach) Ricky Cox, with the South Carolina Army National Guard, deployed to western Baghdad, with the 151st Field Artillery Brigade in August 2006. When he is not serving his country overseas, Cox teaches drafting and pre-engineering classes at the Saint James High School in Murrels Inlet, S.C., and coaches football and baseball.
