A safety device belonging to Bridge Company, 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group hangs in their office aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., June 8, 2012. The Marines supported 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment personnel by ferrying hundreds of troops and dozens of vehicles across a 2.4-mile wide portion of the New River. By ground convoy, the same training area lays 35-miles south of Mainside Camp Lejeune and may take multiple hours to reach and thousands of dollars of fuel and contracting vehicles.
