Hembree-Bey, NSWC Corona commanding officer, at the Nov. 20 Town Hall for employees. “We’re not going to be able to outgun or outman the competitor and we can’t rely on our industrial might to build more trucks and machines. Because the stuff we put on the battlefield is not going to win the next war. It’s going to be our ingenuity – how we stay ahead of our near-peer competitors and keep the adversary at bay. So we need to maintain that sense of urgency.”
