Rauchenstein, NSA Souda Bay executive officer, cut the cake during the Navy Ball at the Avra Imperial Resort in Kolymbari, Crete, Greece, Oct. 18, 2019. It is a Navy tradition that the birthday cake is cut by the youngest and oldest Sailors present at the event which represents the passing of knowledge and experience from one generation to the next.
