Army North Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Laura Richardson, will join two
panel discussions during the annual AUSA meeting. The first, The
Multi-Domain Homeland Defense panel will highlight Army North's top
priority, homeland defense. The second, America's Disaster Response: The
Army's Preparedness for a Complex Catastrophe, will be co-hosted with the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The discussion will detail the importance of
unity of effort between the Army and local, state and federal partners
during a complex disaster response. Strong partnerships are key to Army
North's success - during Hurricane Dorian Richardson met with leaders at the
Federal Emergency Management Agency Region IV Regional Response Coordination Center to discuss response efforts in FL, GA, SC, and NC, Sept. 5, 2019.
