Camille I. Alvarez, a child from a military family who lives on Marine Corps Air Station New River, plants a blue pinwheel in the ground at a Guardian ad Litem ceremony held in front of Onslow Memorial Hospital, April 23. The blue pinwheel is a nation-wide symbol for child abuse. The Guardian ad Litem program advocates for abused and neglected children, and has a special military coordinator for the large military population in the area.
