A Marine with the 24 Marine Expeditionary Unit returns home from deployment Sept. 22, 2019 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Marines and Sailors were deployed in support of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa 19.2, out of Moron Air Base, Spain and Naval Air Station Sigonella, Italy from April to September 2019. SPMAGTF-CR-AF is deployed to conduct crisis-response and theater-security operations in Africa and promote regional stability by conducting military-to-military training exercises throughout Europe and Africa.
