SASEBO, Japan (Aug. 30, 2019) -- The Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) holds a change of command ceremony in Sasebo, Japan. Cmdr. Christopher M. Causee relieved Cmdr. Jimmie J. Jensen III following his twenty-month tour as commanding officer. Germantown, part of Commander, Amphibious Squadron 11, is deployed to the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
